London, October 2010 – Ben Collins, the driver formerly known as TV’s The Stig, is set to join Addison Lee, London’s largest premium minicab company as its new driver training ambassador.
Having trained the likes of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz for television, Collins will now work alongside Addison Lee’s driver training department to help identify and train the company’s drivers in advanced driving techniques.
This weekend Collins also joins the Addison Lee-sponsored Airwaves BMW British Touring Car team in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch. Also racing at Brands Hatch this weekend is Liam Griffin, MD of Addison Lee, who will be participating in the latest round of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB .
Liam Griffin, MD of Addison Lee said; “Ben has spent 15 years driving at the highest level, winning races in F3, GT and the European Le Mans series, as well as working as a stunt driver and training some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. We’re delighted that he’ll now be passing on his expertise to Addison Lee’s top drivers.”
“Ben will work with Addison Lee to help train drivers in precision driving and threat awareness as well hosting track days for some of the company’s 16,000 corporate clients.
